Improved accuracy, billing and readings

According to the Central Region Electricity Distribution Company, smart meters update electricity consumption data every 15 minutes. This allows consumers to understand their consumption and reduce unnecessary electricity use.

With real-time data available, there's no need for employees to visit homes for meter readings. Bills are generated on the scheduled date and delivered to the consumer's registered mobile number. The company claims that smart meters have made billing more accurate and have virtually eliminated the possibility of reading errors.
