Jagran Correspondent | Gwalior: A labourer in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior, was attacked with a knife by his colleagues, leading to serious injuries. While Devendra Maurya was receiving treatment in the hospital, one of his attackers visited him, dressed in a salwar suit. However, the victim's wife, Rachna, identified the attacker and informed the police. The police registered an FIR for attempted murder and have initiated a search operation for the second accused.
What Happened At The Site?
Maurya and his wife Rachna went to Lashkar for unloading a truck carrying sacks of putty in the Gudha-Gudhi Ka Naka area. Two other labourers, identified as Dharmendra Bhadauria and Pappu Bhadauria, also arrived at the site to carry out the work.
Around 3 am, the truck was unloaded, and the couple stayed back at the site. Dharmendra and Pappu then insisted Devendra drink alcohol with them. However, the meeting took an unexpected twist when Pappu and Dharmendra started hurling abuses at Devendra. When Devendra protested, the two men stabbed him with a knife, inflicting wounds to his face, chest, and back, before fleeing the scene.

To conceal his identity, Dharmendra wore a salwar suit and reached the hospital to check on Devendra's condition. However, his wife identified him instantly and alerted the police.
In a separate case, an altercation turned deadly after two groups allegedly argued, leaving an 18-year-old woman dead in Chennai. According to police officials, Yancy had gone to a private bar with her friends, where an argument reportedly broke out between their group and another group of young men while they were dancing. The situation was initially brought under control after bouncers intervened.

However, tensions allegedly continued outside the bar, where security staff again asked both groups to leave the premises. Enraged by the incident, the group in the car allegedly chased the two-wheeler and rammed into it. The collision threw Yancy off the vehicle, killing her on the spot.
