- Monsoon entered Madhya Pradesh through Balaghat district.
- Yellow alert issued for 41 districts across the state.
- Heatwave warning persists in Sidhi and Narsinghpur.
The southwest monsoon, moving at a rapid pace, has now reached the doorstep of Madhya Pradesh. After arriving just a day earlier, it covered more than half of Chhattisgarh by Tuesday. A strong system developing over the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal has further accelerated its progress, and it is now set to fully enter Madhya Pradesh via Balaghat in eastern central India.
While Bhopal received showers on Tuesday, Malajkhand in Balaghat district recorded the highest rainfall of 28 mm. Talking about the temperature, it ranged from 30.4 degrees Celsius to 41.2 degrees Celsius in the western areas and from 32.2 degrees Celsius to 40.4 degrees Celsius in the eastern areas.
A yellow alert has been issued for 41 districts of the state on Wednesday. However, a heatwave warning has still been issued in Sidhi and Narsinghpur districts. The weather centre estimates that there will be no significant change in the state’s weather over the next five days.

On Tuesday, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Balaghat, Khargone, Dhar, Barwani, Dewas, and Raisen experienced moderate thunderstorms and gusty winds with speeds of up to 70 kmph.
Vidisha and Sehore experienced wind speeds of up to 40 kmph. Several other districts, including Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Rewa, and Sagar, also experienced strong winds in the evening.
