Key Election Details
Seat Distribution: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) will filed cadidates in only 291 constituencies while remaining three seats in Darjeeling hills are reserved for their ally, the Anit Thapa led BGPM.
Key Contest: West Bengal PM confirmed that she will contest from Bhabanipur constituency against BJP's Syvendu Adhikari, setting-up a high-profile showdown.
Party Strategy: Addressing those, who are not selected in candidates list, CM Mamata assured them that they would be given significant roles within the party.

Critique Of The Opposition
TMC leader and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee took the opportunity to challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), asserting thatthe opposition party world see a sharp decline in its seat count. She claimed that voters would reject the BJP as a response to their "anti-people" governance.
