- Ratlam spa raid exposes interstate human trafficking network.
- Thai women used Google Translate to communicate with clients.
- Network linked to Udaipur, Jaipur; tourist visas misused.
Naidunia Representative, Ratlam: A police raid on a spa centre operating under the guise of Tulsi Water Park on Namli-Panchet Road has revealed that Thai girls working at the centre used Google Translate to communicate and negotiate with customers.
In connection with this case, several individuals have been detained. These include Dilip, son of Prahlad Singh Thakur (resident of Namli); Naresh Chauhan (resident of Pali, Rajasthan); Bharat Mewara (resident of Jodhpur); and Yogesh Singh Dabi (resident of Ratlam).
Links To Rajasthan's Udaipur And Jaipur
Following the crackdown, the investigation has focused on an interstate network with roots in Udaipur and Jaipur in Rajasthan.
According to a report by Naidunia, citing investigating agencies, these cities are being used as major transit hubs, sending young women from Thailand and other northeastern states to spa centres in other states, including Madhya Pradesh. Authorities have intensified their investigation into human trafficking, the potential misuse of tourist visas, and connected financial networks.
Investigation Reveals Organised Network, Rotational System
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the Thai women found at the spa centre were brought to Ratlam from Udaipur and Jaipur six to seven months ago. The network operates on a fixed pattern, with women being rotated to spa centres in different cities every six to seven months. It is suspected that similar networks are supporting women in other districts in the state, including Ratlam.
The investigation has also uncovered a mediator system where coordinators maintain direct contact with spa operators to arrange women from various states and abroad.
Police have revealed that WhatsApp groups were used to manage the logistics, including the women's travel, accommodation, payments, and placement at new centres. All the women involved are officially hired as massage staff.

Connection Between Ratlam Spa Raid And Ongoing Rajasthan Crackdown
A major crackdown on rapidly expanding centres in Rajasthan's Jaipur has been underway over the past week, with raids on approximately 40 establishments uncovering numerous suspicious activities.
Investigating agencies are establishing the links between Jaipur, Udaipur, and various cities in Madhya Pradesh. Officials stated that because Jaipur and Udaipur are major tourist destinations, they have become central operating hubs for this widespread spa network.
Indian Embassy To Be Contacted
The police will now contact the Indian Embassy to verify the visas of the woman involved, as the investigation revealed that they entered on tourist visas. According to the rules, employment or business activities are strictly prohibited on tourist visas, meaning their work at the spa centres could constitute a direct violation of visa conditions.
Investigators are also probing the roles of local associates, as well as personnel within hotel and transportation networks.
