LPG Cylinder Shortage: The Centre made biometric Aadhaar authentication (e-KYC) mandatory for those domestic LPG consumers, who have not done their KYC yet, in an attempt to tackle black marketing and smooth supply of the cylinders. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas shared a post on social media, urging unauthenticated users to complete their e-KYC to streamline gas cylinder supply amid the shortage of LPG, following the Gulf crisis.

The ministry asked LPG users to visit the official website of the government to complete their e-KYC or contact their distributors.
