  1. Maharashtra government likely to form SIT for Ketan Agarwal murder.
  2. Siya Goyal and Chetan Choudhary accused of planned killing.
  3. Siya's parents demand harshest punishment if daughter is guilty.

The Maharashtra government is likely to form a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the Ketan Agarwal murder case after the initial accidental death was found to be a well-planned killing by his fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her lover, Chetan Choudhary.

An NCP MLA, Sunil Shelke, raised the issue in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, seeking the inclusion of Siya's family as accused in the murder case. Following this, MLA Raju Khare, who was presiding over the assembly, ordered the government to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the case.

However, Shiv Sena (UBT) member Bhaskar Jadhav asked whether the presiding officer's direction was binding on the government.

Shalke claimed that Siya's family knew about her relationship with Chetan yet concealed the information from the Agarwal family. He also demanded that the murder case be heard in a fast-track court.
