Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda on Wednesday held a press conference amid the ongoing protests, hunger strikes and political upheaval over the NEET paper leak. During the press conference, he targeted Lok Sabha LoP and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, who staged a sit-in outside the Prime Minister's residence in Delhi, demanding Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation.
Reacting to Gandhi's claims of 150 paper leaks in the last 10 years, Nadda said that the matter is for investigation and listed paper leaks in states ruled by non-NDA parties.
However, he further added that the issue is a serious one and does not need to be politicised. "We should move beyond blame and counter-allegations and discuss this. The best medium for discussion is Parliament, and we are ready for that discussion. Let there be a thorough discussion, delving into the details through in-depth discussion. What are the factors leading to the paper leak? Who are the people involved, and how has the Central Government responded?" he asked.
He said the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is "responsible and responsive". Nadda added that the government is ready to hold discussions in Parliament.

"The matter will be discussed in Parliament. We are ready to discuss it in detail. We are ready to discuss everything related to the paper leak on the forum of the Parliament...The opposition should present its views, and the government will respond..."
Meeting with Sonam Wangchuk and CJP leaders
On the question of his interaction with Sonam Wangchuk in Medanta Hospital, he said the activist has written an open letter to him and that he would respond to it.
"We went to inquire about his well-being. He had been shifted from Safdarjung Hospital to Medanta. Since he was in the ICU, the environment there was very restricted. During our visit, we inquired about his health and well-being. We also requested him to break his fast, join the mainstream, and guide the children in the right direction," he said.
On discussion with Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protestors, he said that it was a cordial discussion and that they had submitted their demands in writing and the government would respond.
