Jharkhand Horror: In a disturbing incident in Jharkhand’s Ranchi district, a woman was killed by her adopted daughter, her lover along with his three friends to get hold of the mother's Rs 45 lakh financial settlement and secure a government job.

The victim, identified as Nahida Parveen lived with her teen daughter after her husband died a few years back. Parveen’s husband worked with the Electricity Department and as a result she got Rs 45 lakh as financial aid after his death. This money was repeatedly withdrawn by the daughter who was also the nominee. She would transfer this money to her boyfriend Arbaz (20). When Parveen got to know about this, she put an end to it, drawing anger from the young couple.

Young Couple Plan Murder

The couple saw Parveen as a hurdle in their plans to live a lavish life and decided to remove her from the picture. They dreamed of getting a government job after Parveen’s death on compassionate grounds, getting hold of the property and all the money the mother had been given as financial assistance.

Parveen Suffocated With Pillow

The daughter, her lover and three friends executed the murder on April 24. The teen had paid the men Rs 12 lakh for the crime, according to an NDTV report.

The murder was carried out during the night. A pillow was pressed over Parveen’s mouth while two accused held her hands and legs. Following the death, the woman was kept in a freezer while the bed on which she was murdered, was hidden close to the house.

Relatives Grow Suspicious

The daughter called up her relatives to inform them about the mother's death and soon they reached the home for last rites. Some relatives grew suspicious after they saw marks on Parveen’s neck. The mark was not similar to something a person might get after falling down in a bathroom, as told by the teen daughter. After the body was buried, Parveen’s brother-in-law gave a written complaint to the police.

Daughter Confesses To The Crime

"We arrested two people from Bihar’s Gaya district, including the boyfriend of the victim's 17-year-old adopted daughter, and detained the girl. During interrogation, the girl confessed to the crime, stating that she had killed her mother after colluding with her boyfriend, Arbaz Khan (20), and his three friends. She killed her mother when the victim refused to give her money," City Superintendent of Police Paras Rana told reporters.

An investigation into the matter is underway.
