Student leader Ravindra Paswan said he informed Gandhi that the "exam mafia is flourishing" in the state and urged the Congress to clarify its stance as a partner in the ruling coalition. Paswan noted that Gandhi took the issue seriously, telling him, "Send your demands to me on WhatsApp. We are serious about this issue, and we will do whatever we can," while assuring him that he would speak directly with the government.
However, Paswan emphasised that student protesters will not accept mere verbal assurances, asserting that the Congress "bears as much responsibility as Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
"I appeal to Rahul Gandhi ji that if you are truly standing with the students, clarify your position immediately and ensure that the government accepts our demands as soon as possible," Paswan stated.

"If the government remains indifferent to our demands despite your intervention, there is no moral justification for you to remain part of this coalition. On ethical grounds, you should stand with the students... Until our demands are met, we will continue to raise our voices strongly against the ruling alliance."
'Every Government Must Listen To Students': Rahul Gandhi
The leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha on Thursday said that every government must listen to what students are saying and take action to reform the education system.
Speaking during an 'Ask Me Anything' session on Instagram, Gandhi was asked to support student protests in Jharkhand.
"The student protests happening in the country are against the education system. I have stated it clearly in Kota and Dehradun, and will say it in Allahabad: our education system has collapsed; it is unaffordable and oppressive," Gandhi said.
"Every government, be it the Central government, Jharkhand government or a Congress government, should listen to what students are saying and take action to change the education system," he added.
