Dainik Jagran and Vishvas News, in collaboration with Google, organised an online training program for the residents of Kotputli, Rajasthan, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, as part of Google's prestigious 'DigiKavach' initiative. Participants in this program, held under the 'Digital Safety for Senior Citizens: Sach Ke Sathi' campaign, learned digital safety techniques.

At the programme, Devika Mehta, Deputy Editor of Vishvas News, trained people on staying digitally safe. Mehta explained the types of online threats, how to identify them, and how to stay safe from them. She also talked about keeping social media and Google accounts safe, noting that Google also provides strong password hints that can be used.

Mehta, while providing information on how to identify and protect against online phishing scams, said that during Holi, Diwali, or other festivals, scammers often send phishing links along with tempting messages to lure people. One should avoid these and not click on any such links. By doing so, one can avoid data theft or financial loss.

Furthermore, he advised against fake travel scams, advising that hotel or flight bookings should be made only through trusted websites. Mehta also emphasised that cybercriminals often exploit nervousness and haste, so instead of panicking, one should report fraud immediately.

The Santosh Sagar Foundation also supported the program. Lakshmi Narayan Kumawat, a member of the organization's management team, praised the program, saying that scammers use innovative methods to trap people. He said that people learned how to protect themselves from scammers through this program.
