He added that road blockages were reported following the cloudbursts and that machinery and work crews have been mobilised to restore connectivity at the earliest.

34 Roads Affected by Flash Floods

Kishtwar Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma said a cloudburst on a hillside between Drabshala and Gujjuwa triggered flash floods, affecting as many as 34 roads in the district. Among the impacted routes are Drabshala Zero Point, Suru-Sarthal, Gaan and Machhipal roads.

Despite the disruption, officials said no casualties or property losses have been reported. Restoration work has already begun, and the main highway leading to Drabshala has been reopened for traffic.

The district administration has intensified monitoring and relief efforts in the affected region. Officials from the revenue, disaster management and police departments have been placed on alert and are conducting continuous assessments of vulnerable areas.
