A 26-year-old software professional from Bihar was found dead in her apartment in Hyderabad’s Miyapur locality, under Cyberabad limits. Police suspect it to be a suicide case. As per police, the woman had allegedly been facing harassment from her husband over demands for additional dowry.
The woman has been identified as Ishita Yadav. According to an NDTV report, police was informed about the alleged suicide by Ishita’s husband Neeraj Bhansal after he found her body hanging from the ceiling fan at her apartment on Wednesday evening.
Police said the couple first connected online in 2020. Ishita, a native of Bihar, and Neeraj, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, continued their relationship for about five years before tying the knot on February 20, 2026 in Patna. Following the wedding, they moved to Hyderabad, where both were employed in the IT industry.

After a complaint lodged by Ishita’s parents, Miyapur police filed an FIR and began an investigation into the incident. Her body has been sent to Gandhi Hospital for a postmortem. Meanwhile, her husband has been detained for questioning, and officials confirmed that the investigation is still in progress.
