Light snowfall was recorded across the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh, including key mountain passes such as Rohtang Pass, Shinkula Pass, Baralacha La and Kunjum Pass. Meanwhile, intense hailstorms lashed several parts of the state, including Shimla, Kufri, Fagu, Theog and Mashobra, causing significant damage to apple orchards and crops such as peas and cabbage. Wheat harvesting in lower areas was also disrupted.

There should be light rain and/or snow throughout the higher elevation regions on May 1-2, but mostly sunny in the lower elevation regions.
