Heavy rains in recent days triggered landslides in the hills, and land subsided in a few areas of the state. Roads developed huge cracks in many villages, and retaining walls also collapsed, leading to fear among the people.
However, the landslide that hit Bobri village also damaged the Shiva temple and the Mahasu Devta temple complex. The road that leads to the temple was washed off completely.
Also, the newly built community hall's retaining wall collapsed in the village and severely damaged it. It is also alleged that the temple being constructed in the village is at risk of collapse.
Fear spread among the village folk following the incident. They appealed to the administration for speedy action to ensure the security of people and the protection of their village and the temple.
