The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has officially removed Raghav Chadha from the position of Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha. The party conveyed this decision via a formal letter to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat. Notably, the letter also requested that the Rajya Sabha cease allocating speaking time to Chadha from the party's designated quota.
Raghav Chadha has been a constant figure within the AAP since 2012 and is considered a core architect of former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's election campaigns. A Chartered Accountant by profession, he played a pivotal role in drafting the Delhi Lokpal Bill as well as the party’s various manifestos.

10 Key Issues Raised By Raghav Chadha In Parliament
Protection For Gig Workers: Chadha condemned the intense pressure of "10-minute deliveries," accusing platforms of treating gig workers as "hostages in helmets." He demanded social security, fair wages and safer working conditions.
Paternity Leave Legislation: Raghav Chadha advocated for making paternity leave a legal right. He emphasized that childcare is a shared responsibility and fathers should not have to choose between their careers and supporting their wives after childbirth.
National Urban De-congestion Mission: Highlighting that commuters lose approximately 168 hours annually to traffic, he proposed a national mission to manage urban congestion through scientific parking and better transit systems.
Compensation For Flight Delays: He questioned why airlines charge heavily for extra baggage while offering no compensation for significant flight delays. He called for a fair policy where accountability is tied to the time lost by passengers.
Relief For Small Investors: Following market volatility due to the West Asia conflict, he sought a "security shield" for SIP holders and small investors, including tax-neutral switching in mutual funds and STT exemptions.
Mobile Data Rollover: Chadha argued that unused data is the consumer's property. He suggested a rollover system or the ability to transfer data to friends and family, rather than allowing companies to seize it at midnight.
Joint Tax Filing for Couples: He proposed allowing married couples to file income tax returns jointly. This "marriage bonus" would reduce the total tax burden and simplify the process for middle-class households.
Abolishing Minimum Balance Penalties: Labeling low-balance fees as a "penalty on poverty," he noted that banks collected Rs 19,000 crore in three years. He demanded an end to these charges for farmers and pensioners.
Sanitary Pads In Schools: He defined menstrual hygiene as a fundamental right rather than an act of charity. To prevent girls from dropping out of school, he advocated for an integrated policy ensuring access to pads and privacy.
Misleading Juice Labeling: He criticised major food brands for selling "sugar water" under the guise of fresh fruit juice. He called for stricter regulations against deceptive advertisements that contribute to rising diabetes rates.
