Exit Poll Results 2026 Live Updates: Power Shuffle Likely In Bengal, Keralam; BJP Set To Win Assam, DMK To Return In Tamil Nadu

Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) is poised to win Keralam assembly polls, according to exit poll projections. Axis My India projected a comfortable majority for UDF and said it will win 78 to 90 seats in the 140-member assembly. It said the Left Democratic Front would win 49 to 62 seats and the BJP-led NDA zero to three seats.

According to People's Pulse, the ruling LDF is poised to win 55 to 60 seats, UDF 75 to 85 seats and NDA 0-3 seats. JVC projected that UDF would win with 72 to 84 seats, LDF 52-60 seats and BJP-led NDA three to eight seats.,

While most of the pollsters have predicted a clear win for MK Stalin-led DMK, the exit poll predictions by Axis My India have given a big mandate to Vijay's TVK. According to the data released by Axis My India, TVK is poised to win 98-120 seats, while DMK is expected to win 92-110 seats. The opposition AIADMK is likely to get 22-32 seats. ,

According to the exit poll data released by Peoples Pulse, the ruling TMC is poised to win 177-187 seats in West Bengal. The BJP is expected to win 95-110 seats, while Congress is expected to win 0-3 seats. 

Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government in West Bengal is expected to witness a shock as most of the pollsters are predicting a big win for the BJP. According to the Exit Poll results shared by Chanakya Strategies, the BJP is poised to 150-160 seats in the 294-member assembly in Bengal, while the ruling TMC is expected to win 130-140 seats.

Bengal is set for an upheaval, with Matrize predicting the BJP's win in the state. According to the data, the BJP is expected to win 146-161 seats in Bengal, while the ruling TMC is projected to win 125-140 seats. 

The exit poll results for Tamil Nadu have started to pour in, with the Matrize giving an edge to MK Stalin-led DMK. According to the data released by Matrize, the DMK is set to cross the majority mark of 117 and is projected to win 122-132 seats. 

The main opposition, AIADMK, which is contesting the polls in alliance with the BJP, is expected to win 87-110 seats. TVK, south superstar Vijay's newly launched outfit, is predicted to open its account and win 0-6 seats.

According to the Exit Poll Results, released by Matrize, the ruling BJP is set to win 85-95 seats, crossing the majority mark of 63. The pollster has predicted 25-32 seats for Congress, while other regional parties are projected to win 6-12 seats.  

According to the data released by Axis My India, the ruling BJP is on its way to a hat-trick in Assam, with the saffron brigade projected to win 88-100 seats. Congress, on the other hand, is expected to remain a distant second with the pollster predicting 24-36 seats.   

The initial trends of the Exit Polls have started to pour in for Keralam. According to the data released by VoteVibe, the Congress-led UDF is expected to win 70-80 seats, while the ruling LDF is expected to get 58-68 seats.

The exit poll predictions by Axis My India, C-Voter, Matrize, Chanakya and othgers will be released shortly as the polling for the West Bengal Assembly Election 2026 phase 2 has concluded.

The West Bengal Assembly Election 2026 was conducted in two phases. In the first phase, held on April 23, a total of 91.78 per cent of voter turnout was recorded. It was the highest ever turnout in Bengal since independence. The second phase also recorded over 90% turnout. The polling for the first phase was conducted in 152 of the 294 assembly seats, while in phase 2, 142 seats went to polls.

The Assembly Election in Assam was held on April 9, with all 126 seats going to the polls in a single phase. A record 85.64 per cent of the 2.50 crore electorate exercised their franchise. The 85.64-per cent turnout is the highest since 2016 when 84.72 per cent of the electorate had voted, with the BJP coming to power, and 82.04 per cent in the 2021 polls, held amid the Covid pandemic.

The Tamil Nadu Assembly Election 2026 was conducted in a single phase on April 23 across the 234 assembly segments in the state. According to the Election Commission of India, Tamil Nadu recorded 85.05 per cent voter turnout, surpassing the previous record of over 84 per cent polling in the state.

The polling for the Keralam Assembly Election 2026 was held on April 9 along with Assam and Puducherry. Keralam recorded a voter turnout of over 78 per cent -- four percentage points higher than in the 2021 Assembly elections. In the 1987 polls, the state registered 80.54 per cent polling. The highest-ever recorded turnout in the state during Assembly elections is 85.72 per cent in 1960, according to PIB data.

Exit poll results are not always correct and may go absolutely wrong. In Haryana Assembly Election in 2024, exit polls have predicted a win for Congress, however, when the official results were declared by the Election Commission, the BJP came out as clear winner.

Exit polls are generally conducted by private research firms. Because exit polls are expensive and logistically complex, news outlets often form pools or consortiums to share the cost and data. The ban on exit polls before the conclusion of voting acts as a democratic buffer, ensuring that the choices of late-day voters are not contaminated by the perceived momentum of early results.
