EPFO New Portal Launch: If your old PF money is stuck in an old account and you don't have its UAN number, there is no need to worry. Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced that the EPFO will soon launch a new web portal called "e-PRAPTI". Its main objective is to reactivate accounts that have been inactive for years.
The most important feature of this portal is that it will also allow access to accounts that are not linked to a UAN before 2014. "e-Praapti" (Employee Provident Fund Aadhaar-based Access Portal for Tracking Inoperative Accounts) will operate entirely on Aadhaar-based verification.
Once the old account is linked to the UAN, members will be able to update their profiles and track their money. Initially, this will be ID-based, but will later also help those who do not remember any details of their old account.
Emphasis On Transparency, Speed
Minister Mandaviya stated that this digital platform will eliminate paperwork and bring transparency. EPFO has set a record in claims settlement through the use of technology. In 2025-26, EPFO settled 83.1 million claims, significantly more than the previous year's 60.1 million.
Claims Settlement Accelerated
The functionality of the portal as well as EPFO has been improved:
-Of the total settled claims, 5.51 crore were related to partial withdrawals.
-About 71.11 per cent of the claims were settled through the automated system within just 3 days.
-6.68 crore members made claims without uploading cheque books.

It is clear that the introduction of the new portal will provide relief to lakhs of employees whose money was stuck in the system due to lack of information.
