Uber driver assalts woman
A few days ago, a woman faced assault from an Uber driver in Mumbai. The victim, a 21-year-old digital creator, detailed her experience in a video that later went viral. She alleged that despite paying the full amount, the accused asked for an extra Rs 40, on the name of toll tax, after she travelled in the cab from Mahalaxmi to Nerul in Mumbai.
She alleged that after she refused to pay him extra Rs 40, he allegedly assaulted her, twisted her arm and slapped her after she pushed him to get away.
"What followed was not just an argument. He slapped me. He grabbed my hand and twisted it, hurting me. And then he said - Should I hit you again?" she said in her Instagram post video.
