Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke was confronted by a group of people identified as social media influencers or content creators during his visit to Madhya Pradesh’s Balaghat district on Saturday.

Dipke had travelled to the remote villages of Adori, Korka and Bondari to meet the families of tribal children who reportedly died after suffering from infectious diseases. He was also seeking information about healthcare facilities and the treatment available in the region.

A video of the confrontation has since gone viral. It shows a woman approaching Dipke’s car with a microphone and questioning him about his visit. She asked whether he had come to “do politics on corpses” and questioned why he had reached the area so late.

Dipke was heard apologising for arriving late. The woman then pointed to a road in the area and said, “A good road has been constructed here. Can’t you see it?”

The exchange soon became tense. CJP workers accompanying Dipke moved him into another vehicle and took him away from the spot. As the car left, the woman was heard saying, “He ran away, he ran away.”

The incident comes after the Madhya Pradesh High Court sought a response from the state government over the deaths of more than 30 children in the area. The court issued notices to the state Health Department, Women and Child Development Department, Balaghat collector and others while hearing a PIL alleging inadequate treatment for children.

The petitioner's report alleged widespread unhygienic conditions in the area and claimed that these were contributing to the spread of infections and deaths among children. It also alleged that a 50-bed hospital was treating around 400 children.

Amid the controversy, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke also shared a satirical resignation letter on X, announcing his resignation as Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister over the deaths of more than 30 tribal children in Balaghat. In the letter, dated August 13, 2026, Dipke said his conscience did not allow him to continue in the post after the deaths and criticised the alleged lack of adequate healthcare and basic facilities for tribal communities.

The letter also questioned the compensation announced for the families of the deceased children, referring to the initial Rs 2 lakh assistance and its subsequent increase to Rs 4 lakh. Dipke further raised concerns over drinking water and education facilities in tribal areas and cited government data on electricity access, crimes against Scheduled Tribes and malnourished children.

Dipke ended the letter by saying he was resigning as Chief Minister with immediate effect and thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allowing him to serve the people of Madhya Pradesh. The resignation letter was shared in a satirical context and does not represent an actual resignation from the Madhya Pradesh government.
