Jagran correspondent, Kushinagar: The police were left in a fix after a call to the DIG Gorakhpur at midnight on Monday threatened to blow up the Gorakhnath temple and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Based on the mobile location, a joint team of Gorakhpur and Patharwa police station arrested the 15-year-old boy, a resident of village Balua Takiya, Patharwa police station, who had made the threat, on Tuesday morning. When he was found to be mentally disturbed during interrogation, he was released after an hour, with a sigh of relief.

Anshu Kharwar, a resident of Balua Takiya in Patharawa police station area, had called DIG (Deputy Inspector General of Police) Gorakhpur on his mobile phone at around 12 o'clock on Monday night and threatened to blow up the Gorakhnath temple and the Chief Minister with a bomb.

This caused panic throughout the department. Immediately, the Gorakhpur police, led by Inspector Neeraj Rai, began tracking down the threat using mobile phone locations.

Teenage accused mentally disturbed, had issued threat to Ram Mandir

Upon receiving the location, police arrived at the Patharwa police station at 3 a.m. A joint team of Gorakhpur and Patharwa police raided his home and took him into custody. Upon questioning, it was discovered that the teenager was mentally disturbed and addicted to drugs.

He also threatened the police and higher officials three times to blow up the Shri Ram Temple in 2025. Even then, the police released him due to his mental condition.

Villagers said the teenager's parents have been in a long-standing dispute and live separately. He lives with his 70-year-old grandmother and wanders around all day.

Station House Officer Praveen Kumar Rai said that Gorakhpur police took the teenager with them for questioning. After the necessary questioning, the team brought him home and released him.
