Delhi witnessed a rise in minimum temperature on Saturday morning, two days after Thursday’s dust storm and rainfall. However, the weather in the national capital is set to change again from Sunday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a yellow alert for the next two days.
From Sunday to Tuesday, Delhi is expected to experience cloudy skies, thunderstorms, lightning, strong winds reaching speeds of 40 to 50 kmph, and light rainfall. This shift in weather is likely to lower temperatures further, providing continued relief from the intense summer heat. Forecasts suggest that the capital will enjoy relatively mild weather conditions throughout the upcoming week.
After a pleasant end to April, Delhi continued to witness moderate weather on Friday, the first day of May. The city saw partly cloudy skies along with sunshine, but no rainfall was recorded. Despite dry conditions, temperatures remained below the 40-degree Celsius mark.

The maximum temperature settled at 36.4 degrees Celsius, which was 2.9 degrees below normal, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 22.8 degrees Celsius, 1.9 degrees below normal. Humidity levels fluctuated between 72 percent and 46 percent.
According to Mahesh Palawat, Vice President (Meteorology and Climate Change) at Skymet Weather, a fresh western disturbance is becoming active over northwest India, which may once again impact weather conditions across the region.
