Delhi Temperature Today: Delhi residents are reeling under brutal weather conditions with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a yellow alert for intense heat and heatwave conditions over the next four days, hinting at no relief for people anytime soon.
On Monday, most areas recorded daytime temperatures above 43 or 44 degrees Celsius. The Ridge area recorded the highest temperatures, while Lodhi Road experienced a heatwave.
Amid the scorching sun, gusting winds (30 to 40 kmph) on Monday troubled people leaving from home and offices. The plight of two-wheeler riders standing at traffic signals was worse. The sun had been shining brightly since morning, and it only grew more intense as the day progressed.
Ayanagar Was Hottest Area In Delhi
On Monday the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 43.4 degrees Celsius, 3.0 degrees above normal. This is the highest so far this season. The minimum temperature was recorded at 26.3 degrees Celsius, 0.2 degrees below normal. The humidity level in the air was 57 to 19 per cent. Ayanagar was the hottest area of Delhi at 44.6 degrees Celsius.
As per IMD’s forecast, the sky will remain clear on Tuesday. Hot wind will blow at a speed of 25 to 35 km per hour. There is a forecast of a heatwave at some places. The maximum temperature can reach 44 degrees Celsius and the minimum will stay around 28 degrees Celsius. According to IMD, a heatwave is forecast everyday from Tuesday to Friday. A yellow alert has been issued for all four days. According to the weather body, dry and hot winds from Rajasthan and Balochistan will now blow into Delhi, increasing the heat significantly.

May 20 - Maximum temperature will range from 43-45 degrees Celsius.
May 21 - Maximum temperature will range from 43-45 degrees Celsius.
May 22 - Maximum temperature will range from 42-44 degrees Celsius.
