Delhi Weather: Amid the steadily increasing heat, Sunday morning in Delhi was the hottest of the season. The minimum temperature exceeded 26 degrees. Meanwhile, Delhi's air quality remained in the poor category. The national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 26.2 degrees Celsius. Daytime temperatures are expected to hover around 43 to 44 degrees Celsius. The sky is expected to remain clear throughout the day

Heat Wave Warning Issued In THESE States

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of further heat waves in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and parts of central India. It has also said that heat will scorch northern India for the next two days, with no relief expected.

Delhi's AQ Remains In Poor Category

Delhi's AQI was recorded at 223 at 10 am on Sunday, which falls under the poor category. The air quality in NCR cities was also recorded in the moderate to poor category. No changes are expected in the air quality in the near future.

Noida, Ghaziabad And Gurugram Residents Suffer From Intense Heat

The heat intensity has also increased in Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram, which are adjacent to Delhi. On Saturday, the scorching sun and heat wave-like winds troubled people. The conditions were such that the streets and markets wore a deserted look during the day. In Gurugram, the maximum temperature reached 40.2 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 25.2 degrees Celsius.

IMD has issued a yellow alert in view of the increasing heat and advised people to be cautious to protect themselves from heatstroke. People have been advised to avoid going out especially during the afternoon and to drink plenty of water. People were seen resorting to cold beverages to get relief from the heat, while this weather remains especially sensitive for children and the elderly. Heatstroke and strong winds had an impact.

Delhi Weather On Saturday

Despite partly cloudy skies on Saturday, the heat did not subside. Winds blew at 20 to 30 kilometres per hour throughout the day, with gusts reaching up to 40 kilometres per hour. These hot winds exacerbated the temperature, making it difficult to venture outside during the day.
