Delhi Rains: Rains brought a much-needed respite for the residents of Delhi-NCR from the scorching weather on Thursday evening. The rainfall affected flight operations at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, which issued an advisory for passengers.
In its advisory, Delhi International Airports Limited (DIAL) said that the flights may be affected due to inclement weather.
"Due to inclement weather conditions and expected thunderstorms in Delhi, some flights might be impacted at Delhi Airport. Our on-ground teams are diligently working with all stakeholders to ensure a seamless and efficient passenger experience."
The IGI airport also requested passengers to contact their respective airlines for updates on flights. "Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information. Passengers can consider alternative modes of transport, including Delhi Metro, to get to the Airport to avoid potential delays," the DIAL stated.

According to the data from Flightradar24, as many as 521 flights were delayed at the Delhi airport till 7:52 PM.
Airlines issues advisory
IndiGo also issued an advisory, saying, Due to inclement weather conditions and expected thunderstorms in Delhi, some flights might be impacted at Delhi Airport. Our on-ground teams are diligently working with all stakeholders to ensure a seamless and efficient passenger experience. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information. Passengers can consider alternative mode of transport including Delhi Metro to get to the Airport to avoid potential delays".
Similarly, SpiceJet also issued an advisory for passengers, saying, "Due to bad weather in Delhi (DEL), all departures/arrivals and their consequential flights may be affected."
