Jagran Correspondent, New Delhi/NCR: Delhi-NCR residents, who had been suffering from the scorching heat for the past few days, got some relief on Thursday after heavy rain accompanied by thunder and strong winds lashed Sonipat, Faridabad, Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad.
While a strong storm raged in Noida, heavy rain accompanied by dust storms hit Sonipat and Faridabad. After the first thunderstorm in the afternoon, the weather changed again around 4 pm with rain and strong winds in Noida.
Delhi-NCR Hit By Traffic
The first spell of rain caused severe traffic jams and waterlogging in many areas of Delhi-NCR. In many places, trees have also been uprooted.

Strong Storm In Noida
Noida saw dark clouds, accompanied by a thunderstorm and heavy rain.
East Delhi Sees Heavy Rain
Rain accompanied by strong winds lashed East Delhi and New Delhi, bringing relief from the heat that has been prevailing for the past several days.
Weather Changes In Sonipat
The activation of a western disturbance in the NCR region led to weather changes in Sonipat. Drizzle accompanied by dusty winds lashed the city on Thursday afternoon. While Kharkhoda experienced drizzle, some areas in Sonipat city also experienced scattered showers.
Delhi-NCR Weather Forecast
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall in Delhi on Friday and Saturday. The national capital is expected to experience very light to light rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds at speeds of 40-50 km/h, with gusts up to 60 km/h. The sky is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy for the next two days.
