A Delhi court judge, who died by suicide at his home in South Delhi’s Green Park area on Saturday, may have been triggered to take the extreme step due to “harassment” by his wife, a relative alleged.
The deceased, identified as 30-year-old Aman Kumar Sharma was working as Secretary in the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) at Karkardooma Court and was associated with the judicial service.

Relative Speaks About Judge's Family Equation
Police have yet to confirm the exact cause of death. However, a family member has alleged that the judge had been dealing with marital issues in recent weeks. At the time of the incident, both his wife and father were reportedly inside the apartment.
According to the relative, the judge’s father had rushed to Delhi from Alwar on Friday after receiving a call from his son. He later told the police that tensions between the couple had persisted for nearly two months.
The same relative further alleged that the judge’s sister-in-law, a civil servant currently posted in Jammu and Kashmir, had been interfering in the couple’s personal affairs.
“Upon arriving, he (father of the judge) learned that he had been having conflicts with his wife. He told his father that he had been harassed for the last two months,” the relative said, as quoted by ANI.
“His father said that his daughter-in-law told him that if you don't leave from here, she would call the police. The next morning, (the judge’s) father tried to contact his daughter-in-law's parents, but they had blocked his phone. Then an argument broke out in the house,” the relative added.
Aman was a Delhi Judicial Services official. According to official records, Sharma had joined the Delhi Judicial Services on June 19, 2021. A law graduate from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, he completed his BA LLB in 2018. During his tenure, he dealt with a range of criminal and civil cases and served in different jurisdictions as a judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) and civil judge.
