Building upon free bus services for Women, the Delhi government has extended the free travel services for transgender persons, making an effort towards inclusive and compassionate governance. The inclusion of transgender persons in the free bus scheme will be effective on all routes operated by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and buses run by the Transport Department.

With the move, transgender passengers will have access to free travel in DTC and cluster buses, similar to the existing free travel facility provided to women passengers in Delhi buses. The decision aims to provide a safe, convenient commute to transgender community without any financial burden.

Free bus services for trans people will follow the same implementation mechanism as the current free bus travel scheme for women passengers in Delhi.
