Jagran Correspondent, East Delhi: A massive fire broke out at a private electric bus charging station located at the fifth pushta of Sonia Vihar on Saturday morning. The electric bus was geting charged at the station when it suddenly caught fire.

The blaze quickly turned ravaging and gutted the entire bus. Four motorcycles, which were parked nearby, also came into the contact of flames and subsequently were destroyed.

No human casualties were reported in the devastative fire as no one was present at the charging station at the time of the incident. The fire department quickly rushed to the spot and doused the flames. They were also investigating the cause of the fire.

Fire in Noida

Earlier on July 19, a massive fire broke out at a three-storey building after a suspected short-circuit in a window air conditioner in a top floor room. The incident took place at around 11 AM in the morning in Block A-682, Sector 19A, Noida.

Thick smoke started billowing from the third floor. There were 11 people in the building when the fire break out. As the fire escalated, all were safely rescued.

The fire tenders were rushed to the spot to control the blaze. Three fire tenders battled for nearly an hour to bring the fire under control. There were no casualties reported in the incident.

Speaking about the incident, Noida Sector 19 RWA general secretary Laxmi Narayan said the building with three floors is at A-682, Sector 19A and three young women reside on rent on the third floor.

The alarm was raised by a neighbour, who saw smoke emanating from a window AC of one room. He not only alerted the young girls, but also the fire department.

Initially, the girls and the neighbours attempted to extinguish the flames but it continued to escalate. The timely arrival of the fire brigade prevented the blaze from spreading further.
