PM Modi's Address To Nation: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed the nation on the defeat of the 131st Constitutional Amendment Bill, accusing Congress, DMK, TMC and Samajwadi Party of 'foeticide'.
The CAB, seeking amendment to Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam 2023, stipulated the implementation of 33 per cent reservation for women in legislatures across the country by the 2029 general elections. It was linked with two other bills, which were withdrawn by the Centre after the CAB was defeated.

- The Prime Minister started his address by seeking forgiveness for the defeated women's quota bill. "I seek forgiveness from all women of the country: PM Modi on bill related to women's reservation getting defeated in Lok Sabha," he said.
