Cockroach Janta Party Protest: Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the online movement Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), held his planned protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Saturday, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over lapses in the education system. The politicians' approach to the youth-led movement is largely calculated, adopting a wait-and-watch strategy. However, a few leaders expressed their views on the CJP's initiative.
मेरी माँ को बहुत डर था की मुझे ये सरकार जेल में डाल देगी। इस देश में उस हर माँ को ये डर होता है जब उनका बच्चा इस सरकार के ख़िलाफ़ आवाज़ उठाता है।

The protest primarily demands accountability for alleged irregularities in examinations and recruitment tests, including NEET, CBSE, CUET, and SSC examinations.

Hundreds of youth turned out for the demonstration, many wearing cockroach masks and holding flowers. School students were also seen attending the protest along with their parents. The majority of the participants were a mix of school and college students, along with young professionals. Scores of students gathered at the venue, chanting slogans and demanding the education minister's resignation. Dipke, who arrived in Delhi early in the day, had urged supporters to maintain discipline and ensure that the protest remains peaceful.
Activist Sonam Wangchuk Joins Jantar Mantar Support
Activist Sonam Wangchuk, who arrived at the protesting site from Ladakh, asserted that he would undertake a six-week fast if Dipke is arrested.
6 Detained During CJP Protest
Six people were detained by the Delhi Police to prevent a possible confrontation between two groups during the protest at Jantar Mantar. The detentions were made as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order after police received inputs about the possibility of tensions between supporters and opposers of the online movement.
Here Is List Of Politicians Who Reacted To The CJP's Movement:
Arvind Kejriwal: The AAP national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, said the cockroach movement was an expression of huge anger and frustration experienced by the youth of this country. Rather than terming them anti-national, the Modi government should address their issues, he wrote on X, adding that the AAP supports their demands. The Prime Minister must sack the education minister immediately, the former Delhi chief minister added.
Uddhav Thackeray: Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday said the Centre must listen to the youth and should not underestimate them. In a post on Facebook, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut put out Thackeray's message, which said youth are the future of the country and they are protesting in scorching heat. It is improper to deny them justice and address them as "cockroach"
Priyanka Chaturvedi: Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi has been supporting the CJP since it trends on social media. In the latest X post, she praised the Delhi Police for permitting the protest. "Must be a first when Delhi Police has done the right thing by giving the CJP permission to protest. Now to see whether the online support converts to on-ground momentum," her post read.
Sanjay Raut: Another Shiv Sena (UBT) leader, Sanjay Raut, lent his support to the CJP, claiming that the Central government is scared of the emerging trend of the 'Cockroach Janta Party' on social media.
Shashi Tharoor: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor praised the movement, saying it is reflecting genuine youth frustration. "I understand the frustrations of the youth and see why they are resonating with it. This is precisely why the account being withheld on X is disastrous and deeply unwise - there should be an outlet for the youth to express their feelings, and so, let CJP’s account function instead of shutting it down! Democracies need outlets for dissent, humour, satire and even frustration," he said in his post.
I’m incredibly intrigued by the rise of #CockroachJantaParty, which has already reached more than 15 million followers on @Instagram in just five days.

"There has been a massive tampering in the CBSE exam results, leaving millions of children across the country and their parents in shock," Gandhi said in a tweet.
