- CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke faces FIR for unauthorized school entry.
- Accused of disrupting academic work and threatening teachers in Latur.
- Case registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections for offenses.
Maharashtra Police have registered an FIR against Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke and his associates over their alleged entry into a government school in Latur without permission. The case was filed following allegations of disrupting academic and official work and threatening teachers.
The FIR was registered at Ausa police station on the complaint of Syed Shamshadbano, a teacher at the Zilla Parishad Urdu School in Jawali.
‘School Thik Kara’ Campaign Leads To Controversy
Dipke has been visiting government schools in Latur as part of CJP's 'School Thik Karo' campaign, where it says it highlights issues faced by students and teachers.
According to the complaint, Dipke, along with some associates, allegedly entered the Jawali school campus without prior permission. They then sat among the students and started asking questions to them.
In his complaint, the complainant stated that teaching and other official work were disturbed during the visit. Dipke also recorded the entire event, the video of which was uploaded by him on his social media.
School Accused Of Bringing Students From Another School
The complaint also alleges that Dipke made claims aimed at tarnishing the school’s reputation. He reportedly alleged that students from another school had been brought in and made to sit in classrooms during his visit.
Speaking to news agency PTI, Dipke stated that the school, located over 500 km from Mumbai, lacked basic drinking water facilities and pointed out that its toilets had been cleaned shortly before his arrival.
The CJP founder remarked that the students in these schools lived in conditions "worse than animals", stating, "Even a minister's dog gets better facilities than the students! If the government hasn't been able to fix leaking roofs or address the shortage of benches in ten years, what exactly have they achieved?"
The complaint further alleges that teachers were threatened with suspension during the incident.
FIR Registered Under Four BNS Sections
Based on the complaint, police registered a case under Sections 132, 329(3), 351(2) and 356(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The sections cover offences including obstructing a public servant in the discharge of duty, unauthorised entry, criminal intimidation and defamation. Police said the matter is under investigation and that videos of the incident and other evidence are being examined.
