Chennai-Bengaluru Trains: Passengers travelling between Chennai and Bengaluru, as well as those on long-distance routes passing through this corridor, should prepare for significant travel disruptions. According to a report by DT Next, more than 10 key train services will be impacted from May 29 to July 7, 2026, due to essential yard remodelling works at Bengaluru Cantonment and Whitefield.

Officials stated that these infrastructure works are aimed at improving rail operations in and around Bengaluru.

Key Trains Cancelled On Select Days

Key services operating on the Chennai-Bengaluru and Chennai-Mysuru corridors are scheduled for cancellation on select days between June 3 and July 7.

- Chennai Central-Ashokapuram Kaveri Express

- Ashokapuram-Chennai Central return Kaveri Express

- Chennai-Bengaluru Superfast Mail

- Yesvantpur-Chennai Superfast Express

- Mysuru-Chennai Superfast Express

- MEMU services between Bengaluru and Jolarpettai

Several Trains Rescheduled On Select Dates

Several trains will be rescheduled on specific dates, including May 29, June 2, 7, 19, 23, and July 3, with delays ranging from 30 minutes to up to three hours.

Diversions Announced For Multiple Long-Distance Trains

Diversions have been announced for several long-distance trains on select dates in June and July. These services will operate on alternate routes, skipping major junctions such as Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Renigunta, Arakkonam, and Perambur.

The trains affected by diversions are:

- Mysuru-Howrah Express

- SMVT Bengaluru-Guwahati Express

- Hatia-Bengaluru Express

- Dadar-Puducherry Express

- Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat

THIS Memu Service Partially Cancelled On July 7

In addition to full cancellation and route changes, the Jolarpettai-KSR Bengaluru MEMU will be partially cancelled on July 7, 2026, operating only up to Devangonthi.
