Farmers to benefit from price revision
COMFED stated that dairy farmers will also benefit from the revised structure. The procurement price of milk paid to farmers will increase by up to Rs 3.13 per kilogram, compared to the earlier Rs 2. Additionally, shopkeepers will receive an increased margin of 20 paise per litre.
COMFED has urged consumers to verify updated prices at the time of purchase. It said the revision aims to balance production costs while ensuring a quality dairy supply.
The price hike is expected to slightly impact household budgets, especially for regular milk consumers.
