Bihar Road Accident: At least 10 people were killed, and 25 others were injured in a collision involving a bus and a pickup vehicle in Bihar's Katihar district on Saturday evening. According to the police, the road accident occurred near Gerabari within the jurisdiction of the Korha Police Station in Katihar District.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Katihar Police said, "Today, on April 11, 2026, a horrific road accident occurred near Gerabari within the jurisdiction of the Korha Police Station in Katihar District involving a bus and a pickup vehicle. 10 individuals have lost their lives in this incident so far."

"Approximately 25 individuals injured in the accident are being transferred to nearby hospitals for advanced medical care following the administration of first aid," the statement added.

Rescue and relief operations are underway, and the injured are being shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.

Police further stated that the situation at the site is fully under control and traffic is being restored to normal. An investigation is underway.

Mathura Boat Accident: 10 Killed After Boat Capsizes In Yamuna

In a separate incident, at least ten people were killed, and several others went missing after a boat carrying around pilgrims and locals collided with a floating (pipa) bridge and capsized in the Yamuna River in Mathura. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Vrindavan Kotwali police station.

"Ten dead, several missing after tourist boat capsizes in Yamuna in Mathura," DM Chandra Prakash Singh was quoted as saying.
