A '15-15 Formula' May Be Reached

Sources suggested that a 15-15 formula may be implemented between the JDU and the BJP in the new cabinet. However, some positions may be kept vacant to maintain balance in the future.

Allies Will Also Get Representation

Allies like the LJP (R), HAM, and RLM are also expected to find a place in the new cabinet. This will attempt to maintain balance within the coalition. Discussions regarding potential ministerial names are rife in both the JDU and BJP camps. The list is being prepared based on a mix of caste balance, experience, and new faces. The cabinet expansion is likely to be finalised by May 6. Now, all eyes are on May 6, when it may become clear which leaders will be included in Chaudhary's team.

The delay in the Bihar cabinet expansion is mainly due to ongoing seat-sharing negotiations between alliance partners, upcoming election results in other states, and internal strategy shifts within the BJP and JD(U).
