An FIR has been registered at the Cyber Police Station in Ara against Deepak Dixit, alias Pandit, for allegedly threatening to shoot police officers and spreading inflammatory content on social media in connection with the Bharat Bhushan Tiwari encounter case in Bihar's Bhojpur district.
According to police, Deepak Dixit, alias Pandit, is a resident of Dehli village in Shivgarh, Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh. Police claim that he has a criminal history.
It has been learned that cases have been registered against him at the Kotwali Police Station and the Women's Police Station in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on charges of rape, molestation, and allegedly threatening the victim's relatives by circulating videos and photographs.
Preparation for Strict Action
SP Raj said that Deepak Dixit alias Pandit has used objectionable, inflammatory and threatening language against police officers through various social media platforms. The official said that the statements not only openly challenge the police but also attempt to provoke the public and disrupt law and order.
The Superintendent of Police stated that the available digital and technical evidence in the case is being analysed. Strict action will be taken against anyone found misusing social media to incite violence or threaten police officers.
Threats Linked to Bharat Tiwari Encounter
Bharat Tiwari was allegedly killed in an encounter in Bilauti village, Shahpur police station area, Bhojpur district, on June 17. Since then, numerous misleading and inflammatory posts have been circulating on the internet regarding this matter.
In one such post, Deepak Dixit, alias Pandit, allegedly made threatening remarks against police officers.
The Superintendent of Police has said that the police will not permit anybody to enforce their own will and spread violence and hatred through social media, and stern action will be initiated against those found violating the law.
