Bengaluru Shocker: Woman Stripped, Assaulted And Filmed After She Failed To Repay Loan; 4 Held

In a disturbing incident, a woman was assaulted and stripped after she failed to repay a loan of Rs 1 lakh in Karnataka’s Bengaluru. The victim also alleged that the accused had also filmed the act and threatened to circulate it online. The police have arrested four people, including two women in the case. The accused have been identified as Nasrat, Reshma, Suhel, and Saif.

What’s the case?

Nearly two years ago, the victim had burrowed a sum of Rs 1 lakh from Reshma and was paying an instalment. However, the women failed to pay the loan instalment for the last six months. The Bengaluru women had also taken a loan of Rs 50,000 from Nasrat. She was paying an instalment of Rs 5,000 per month; however, she was unable to pay the instalment for the last month.

According to the victim, she moved to a different place in fear of harassment. Suddenly, Nasrat called the woman and invited her to her house under the pretext of offering her a job and money. When the woman went to Nasrat's house, Suhel abused and assaulted her.

The victim then alleged that she was forced into an auto-rickshaw. Reshma and Nasrat sat next to her, while Suhel and two other men accompanied them. They took the woman to a house near Kumbalgodu on the outskirts of Bengaluru and held her hostage there. The woman also alleged that she was filmed during the act and the accused threatened her with making the videos viral on social media.

As the woman went missing, her mother filed a missing complaint. The police then traced the woman and arrested the accused people. Further investigation is underway.'

Separate Case

In a separate case, a woman was stripped naked and beaten with belts by her brother-in-law and his sons after she objected to loud music played by a DJ. The incident occurred on Friday in a village near the Khandauli police station in Agra. When the victim went to the police station to report the crime, she was turned away and instructed to go to the local police post instead. Despite the severity of the incident, no formal report had been registered even 24 hours after the incident.
