Bengaluru Daycare Horror: A disturbing case has come to light in Bengaluru, where videos showing young children being assaulted at a daycare centre inside IT company Capgemini's HAL campus are going viral. Following the circulation, an FIR was filed against five female caregivers.
Bengaluru Daycare Footage Shows Children Crying, Being Assaulted
The complaint was based on videos recorded inside the centre. According to the complainant, the footage shows children crying and being assaulted and threatened by caregivers. As per police said the nannies in the video are seen threatening children aged two to three years.
According to the complaint, the caregivers allegedly put the children inside a front-loading washing machine, made them sit on the toilet, sprayed water into their mouths with a toilet jet spray, locked them in the bathroom and threatened them to remain silent.
FIR Against 5 Women
As per a Deccan Herald report, the accused have been identified as Manjula, Vijayalakshmi, Sindhu, Bhavani and Bindu. As per the police, the nannies will be called in for questioning soon.
Police got to know about the assault after a video of the incident was shared on Whatsapp, following which the child helpline was informed. Based on the complaint, police have registered a case against five women under relevant sections of the Juvenile Justice Act. There have been no arrests till now. An investigation into the matter is underway.
Last year, a woman working in the daycare of a residential complex in Noida was arrested after she assaulted and bit a 15-month-old baby. The video of the horrifying incident, which took place at the Blippi daycare, was captured on a CCTV camera.
The disturbing CCTV footage showed that the attendant hit the infant on the face and dropped the baby on the ground two to three times intentionally, and the baby’s thigh bore bite marks. The daycare was run by the residents’ association inside the residential complex of Paras Tierea in Noida Sector 137. In the viral video, the woman was be seen hitting the girl on the back and biting her on the thighs.
