  3. Strict action promised against guilty employees by committee president

Jagran Correspondent, Uttarakhand: Amid the ongoing probe into the alleged theft in the donations of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, similar allegations have been made against the employees of the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee at Badrinath Dham. The temple committee, after receiving the complaints, ordered a departmental investigation into the matter. Apart from this, the authority has also issued fresh guidelines regarding donations and offerings at the holy temple.

While addressing the issue, Temple Committee President Hemant Dwivedi on Friday asserted that strict action will be taken if any employee is found guilty in the case. As per the reports, an organisation called Bhairav Sena submitted a complaint letter to the Temple Committee CEO alleging misuse of donations. While the complainants did not provide any evidence to back their allegations, the committee has begun examining the CCTV footage.

Employee Federation Seeks Probe

In a letter to the committee, Vijendra Bisht, president of Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee Employees Federation, demanded a detailed and timely enquiry into the allegations. He stated that strict action should be taken against those responsible if any irregularity is found.

Sohan Singh Rangad, Chief Executive Officer of the Committee, stated that a probe was launched after receiving the complaint. He stated that suspicious activities were not found when the CCTV footage was examined, adding that the probe is underway.

He further stated that the employee has previously worked as a personal assistant to three temple committee presidents.

On the allegations of irregularities in the temple fund, Dwivedi stated that the allegations have been taken seriously and a probe is already underway. He assured that strict guidelines will be issued for the employees to ensure transparency in the process.
