Agra Traffic Advisory: In a major update for the residents, the Agra traffic police have announced diversions on August 3 (Monday) in view of the ongoing Kanwar Yatra. A large crowd is expected due to the procession, the Jalabhishek at major Shiva temples, and the traditional fair at the Shri Raj Rajeshwar Mahadev Temple. As per the advisory, large-scale diversions have been implemented in the internal and external traffic systems of the city.

As per the traffic police, the new arrangement will be effective from 4 pm on August 2 until the end of the event and fair on August 3. The traffic police also stated that the regular no-entry zone, which opens at 11 pm, will remain closed, and all previously issued no-entry passes and permits will be revoked. However, the emergency vehicles, including ambulances and fire brigades, will be allowed to pass through the route without stopping.

These Are Major Changes:

Mathura-Firozabad Highway: Traffic will operate normally between Mathura and Firozabad on NH-19, but heavy vehicles from Firozabad to Jaipur will be diverted from Runkata towards the Southern Bypass.

Hathras and Aligarh Route: Heavy vehicles coming from Hathras will be diverted from Sadabad towards Sikandrarao or Mathura. Apart from this, vehicles from Aligarh will proceed from the Khandauli intersection via the Mudi intersection and Etmadpur to NH-19.

Yamuna Expressway and Jalesar: The authority stated that the vehicles coming from the expressway will disembark at Kuberpur instead of Khandauli. Vehicles from Jalesar (Etah) will proceed to NH-19 via Mudi intersection and Etmadpur.

Gwalior/Jaipur to Aligarh: Heavy vehicles on this route will be diverted via Gram Bad Southern Bypass via NH-19 and Kuberpur Cut towards the expressway.

Traffic Nearby Shiv Temples:

Shri Raj Rajeshwar Mahadev Temple (Sadar): Heavy and medium-sized vehicles will be prohibited from Phool Syed Square and the Amar Hotel intersection towards Shamshabad Road. All vehicular traffic will be completely blocked from Rajpur Toll Plaza to Kahrai Turn.

Shri Ravali Mahadev Temple (Rakabganj): Tourist vehicles and roadways buses will not be allowed to approach the temple from Sai Ki Takiya, Chipitola, and Tanki intersections. Apart from this, buses will be diverted from Club Square and Sai Ki Takiya.
