Abhijeet Dipke Diagnosed With Typhoid, Says 'Fight Will Go On Till Pradhan Resigns'

Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijeet Dipke on Saturday said that he has been diagnosed by Typhoid, however he alledged that the protest will be continued untill Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns from his post.

Sharing a video message on X, Dipke thanked CJP protestors for carrying a peaceful protest across the country. He said, "Hello Everyone, as you all know I am not feeling well for the last few days. So, blood reports have come and I've been diagnosed with Typhoid. And my treatment is going on. I have been given IV drips every morning and evening. But I want to thank all the cockroaches who has been protesting peacefully across the country. A big big thankyou to all of you. Congratulate you all to making this movement a big big sucess."

On Friday, the CJP members held a meeting with the Centre,wherein they were assured that the final update on Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation will be announced today. The agitators clarified that they would be forced to take a tough stance if necessary steps would not be initiated.

The CJP Protest

The CJP has been demanding the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities linked to the NEET UG 2026 paper leak. Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk maintained a 26-day hunger strike. The 59-year-old activist ended his hunger strike after receiving assurances from JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh that the government would take appropriate measures to address the issue.

Following this, the Union Cabinet cleared a draft bill to ensure stricter punishments in paper leak cases. The bill was cleared following a Union Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Parliament House complex earlier in the day, and it will be presented in the Parliament next week. The bill will amend The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, and it proposes a jail term of up to 10 years and a maximum fine of Rs 10 crore in case of organised paper leaks.
