Suriya Karuppu OTT Release: The biggest Tamil hit movie of the year, Karuppu, is officially heading to digital screens very soon. The film is directed by RJ Balaji and produced by S R Prakashbabu and S R Prabhu under the popular banner of Dream Warrior Pictures. The music for this mega project is composed by Sai Abhyankkar. Super star Suriya plays the lead role in the film, alongside a talented main cast that includes Trisha Krishnan, RJ Balaji, and Indrans.
Karuppu OTT Release Date
Prime Video has announced that the massive fantasy action-drama will be available for streaming worldwide on June 12, 2026. The movie has enjoyed a phenomenal and record-breaking run at the box office. Now, it is ready to reach audiences in more than 200 countries and territories as part of the platform's exciting lineup ahead of Amazon Prime Day in July.
Karuppu Plot
The story follows a guardian deity named Vettai Karuppu, who decides to take on a human form as a lawyer. He enters the legal world to fight against widespread corruption in a court system that unfairly exploits ordinary citizens. Viewers can watch the film in its original Tamil language, as well as dubbed versions in Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. The film will also be released under the title Veerabhadrudu for Telugu-speaking audiences.

Speaking about the upcoming digital release, Manish Menghani, the director and head of content licensing at Prime Video India, expressed his excitement. He noted that the streaming platform has always been a preferred home for Suriya's most impactful movies, such as Jai Bhim and Soorarai Pottru.
Sharing his thoughts on the successful theatrical run and the digital transition, producer S R Prabhu said, “Karuppu celebrates the spirit of rooted storytelling while delivering the scale and emotion of a truly commercial entertainer." He added that they are thrilled to partner with Prime Video to bring this incredible story to a global audience.
Lead actor Suriya also shared his happiness regarding the film's massive success and its upcoming digital premiere. Expressing his gratitude to his fans, Suriya shared, “I am truly humbled by the immense love and appreciation Karuppu has received at the box office. Now the movie is set for its streaming premiere worldwide exclusively on Prime Video from June 12. It is wonderful to see the continuous outpour of love & response.
