Mukesh Khanna, known for playing the iconic superhero in Shaktimaan, has once again caught public attention with his views on relationships. At 67, the veteran actor is still unmarried, but his belief in marriage remains firm. In a recent interview, he spoke openly about commitment, destiny, and why he has chosen to stay single despite valuing the institution deeply.

While talking to The Filmy Charcha, Mukesh Khanna expressed his views about loyalty in relationships. He emphasised that marriage involves commitment from both parties.

He said, "Once you marry, you are committed.. They say the woman has to be pativrata, but does anybody say the man should also be patnivrata?" He further mentioned that love involves truthfulness, and cheating in a relationship is a breach of trust.

Why Mukesh Khanna Chose To Stay Unmarried? 

Explaining his personal decision, the actor said that his choice is not due to a lack of belief in marriage. Instead, he strongly respects it.

He said, "I believe in the institution of marriage more than most people… A wife doesn't just come randomly. She is written in destiny." According to him, if it was meant to happen, it would have already happened.

Belief In Destiny Over Timing

Mukesh Khanna emphasised that age does not matter when it comes to marriage. He believes that the right partner already exists somewhere and that destiny will bring them together at the right time. 

He said, "The woman I am destined to marry already exists somewhere. When destiny brings us together, it will happen."

His popularity reached new heights with Shaktimaan, India’s first superhero TV series. The show became hugely successful among children and families, turning him into a cultural icon and one of Indian television’s most respected actors.
