When Angry Karisma Kapoor 'Yelled' And 'Abused' Legendary Choreographer Saroj Khan's Dancer

Karisma Kapoor And Saroj Khan Fall Out: Saroj Khan was renowned for being a rigorous choreographer who never gave up on perfecting choreography. Her approach during rehearsals has been mentioned by a number of actors who collaborated with her. But Saroj Khan also remained with her dance team no matter what and was very protective of them. The renowned choreographer allegedly stood up to actress Karisma Kapoor during a fight on set, according to a former dancer.

Karisma Kapoor And Saroj Khan Fall Out

Karisma Kapoor reportedly had a fallout with Saroj Khan after an incident involving members of the choreographer’s team, according to dancer Rubina Khan in a recent conversation with Bollywood Thikana. The dancer, who worked closely with the late legendary choreographer for years, claimed the disagreement became serious enough that the two never collaborated again after that. 

"One time, Karisma Kapoor was shooting a song with Saroj Khan. In that song, there was a sequence where the actors had to run and stop at a particular spot. The set had a tree, and according to the sequence, some boys and girls were hiding on it. During the shot, one of the branches broke, and a boy who was hiding there accidentally fell on Karisma Kapoor. She got hurt," recalled Rubina Khan.

Karisma Kapoor reportedly got angry and started yelling at the dancer. Saroj Khan did not like this, and the two got into a fight.

"Karisma became extremely angry. She started yelling and abusing him. She called him an idiot. This behaviour upset Saroj Khan because she was always very protective of her team. Saroj ji immediately intervened and told Karisma that she could not behave like that. The boy had not done it intentionally, and he had apologised too. But Karisma refused to continue shooting and walked out of the set, which was understandable. After that, Saroj Khan never worked with Karisma Kapoor again."

However, Saroj Khan never publicly addressed Karisma Kapoor or made disparaging remarks about her in the media, despite the alleged fallout. It's interesting to note that Karisma paid a heartfelt homage to the renowned choreographer on social media after Saroj Khan passed away in 2020.

Karisma Kapoor wrote, "Saroj Ji, cannot forget the endless hours learning dance and expression from you at Satyam Hall. Your teachings took me a long way. RIP, using hashtags like 'Master', 'Teacher' and 'Dance Guru'.
