The original Tumbbad, released in 2018, was set in a cursed village and followed a family obsessed with wealth who worship Hastar, a forbidden deity, to gain access to hidden treasure. The film unfolded with dark mythological twists. Sohum Shah played the protagonist, Vinayak Rao and is all set to reprise his role in Tumbbad 2. The first part was directed by Rahi Anil Barve, while the sequel will be helmed by Adesh Prasad, who co-directed the original film. Expectations are high for the sequel, especially considering the success of the film’s re-release.
