Suriya and Jyotika marked two decades of marital bliss with a vow renewal ceremony in front of their loved ones. The couple, who first tied the knot in 2006, chose to dress in matching white to celebrate the '20 years of love and war' in a typical Christian wedding.

Suriya, Jyotika Renew Wedding Vows In Christian Ceremony

Suriya wore a white tuxedo, while Jyotika wore a bridal strapless gown.

The groom was standing inside a church while the bride walked towards him. Suriya even got teary-eyed seeing her. The two exchanged vows. As the couple walked out of the church, their friends showered them with flowers. Suriya was seen posing with Jyotika while holding her close.

In a lengthy emotional note, Jyotika said, "A vow renewal, celebrating our 20 years of love and war. And no, this is not a celebration of a perfect marriage. This is a celebration of imperfections, of adjustments, of understanding, sacrifices, of loving each other selflessly. This is a celebration of 'us'."

Jyotika continued her note by outlining her own commitments to her spouse, promising to stay positive, value their relationship, and put family and health first.

She thanked Suriya for his protection and respect, characterising him as her greatest friend, confidant, and equal in addition to being a husband and father to their kids.

How Did Suriya And Jyotika Meet?

Suriya and Jyotika worked together on several films after first meeting on the sets of Poovellam Kettuppar in 1999. While occasionally working together in movies and running their joint production firm, 2D Entertainment, both actors have maintained active solo careers in the Indian film industry during the last 20 years.

They have worked together in movies like Poovellam Kettuppar (1999), Uyirile Kalanthathu (2000), Kaakha Kaakha (2003), Perazhagan (2004), Maayavi (2005), June R (2006) and Sillunu Oru Kaadhal (2006).
