Actor-comedian Sunil Grover transformed into cricketer Rohit Sharma for a Netflix ad, perfectly capturing his laid-back style, mannerisms and signature way of speaking. Dressed in a Mumbai Indians jersey, Sunil’s portrayal feels strikingly real. In the ad, he arrives for a shoot where the director is confused, even suspecting he might be AI.
Despite fumbling his lines, Sunil managed to deliver the message about Netflix being Mumbai Indians’ entertainment partner. The ad ended on a humorous note, with the real Rohit Sharma seen watching Saiyaara on Netflix, casually wondering if he had a shoot that day.
A fan reacted on the video and wrote, "I am a fan of Sunil Grover; whatever he does delights the heart. When he appears as Kapil Dev on stage, the real Kapil Dev watches him in admiration. When he transforms into Salman Khan, it’s as if Salman himself is there… He can become Dara Singh, Sidhu, Aamir Khan, or even Rajamouli." "Sunil is so talented.
