Here are five Bollywood stars who remained unmarried despite years of dating rumours and speculation surrounding their relationships.
Bollywood Stars Who Chose To Stay Single Despite Several Rumoured Relationships
Salman Khan
Salman Khan is one of Bollywood’s most famous bachelors. The actor has never married despite being linked to several high-profile actresses over the years. His reported relationships include Sangeeta Bijlani, Somy Ali, Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif.

Salman and Sangeeta Bijlani were reportedly close to getting married, while his relationship with Aishwarya Rai between 1999 and 2001 also received considerable media attention. He was later linked to Katrina Kaif, with the two reportedly dating for several years.
Despite his numerous relationships, Salman has continued to remain unmarried.
Tabu
Tabu has always kept her personal life private, but the actress has been linked to several celebrities. Her name was reportedly associated with actors Sanjay Kapoor and Nagarjuna, with her alleged relationship with the latter receiving considerable attention over the years.
Tabu and Nagarjuna reportedly remained in a relationship for several years, although they eventually parted ways. The actress has never married and has spoken about being comfortable with her single status.

Interestingly, Tabu has previously joked that her close friend Ajay Devgn was partly responsible for her remaining single, recalling how he and her cousin would scare away boys who tried to approach her when she was younger.
Sushmita Sen
Former Miss Universe and actress Sushmita Sen has had several well-known relationships but has never married. Her reported relationships include filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, actor Randeep Hooda and model Rohman Shawl.
She was also briefly in the spotlight after former IPL chairman Lalit Modi publicly confirmed their relationship in 2022. Sushmita and Rohman Shawl, meanwhile, announced their separation in 2021 but have continued to share a close bond.

Despite having several relationships, Sushmita has remained unmarried and has often maintained that marriage is not something she needs to validate her life.

Ameesha Patel
Ameesha Patel has also remained single despite being linked to a few prominent names. She was in a long-term relationship with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, with whom she reportedly dated for around five years.
After their split, Ameesha dated London-based businessman Kanav Puri. The relationship ended in 2010. Her name has also been linked to actor Ranbir Kapoor in media reports, although neither confirmed a serious relationship.

Ameesha has continued to embrace singlehood. In 2026, she said that she was extremely happy being single and had no plans to get married.
Akshaye Khanna
Akshaye Khanna is another Bollywood star who has remained unmarried despite being linked to several women during his career. The actor’s name has been associated with actresses Tara Sharma and Riya Sen, while he was also reportedly linked to former Miss Universe Aishwarya Rai.
Akshaye was once rumoured to be close to Aishwarya Rai, with reports suggesting that their families had even discussed marriage. However, the rumours never translated into a wedding.
