Ranveer Singh Receives Chilling WhatsApp Threats Days After Rohit Shetty Shooting Incident

In a turn of events following the shooting incident at filmmaker Rohit Shetty's house, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh received a threatening WhatsApp voice note on Tuesday, February 10, reportedly demanding crores of rupees. The message has raised security concerns, and the Mumbai Police have increased security outside the Dhurandhar actor's residence. They have also launched an investigation to trace the sender of the threatening voice notes and the motive behind it. According to several media reports,  the sender claimed to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Following the chilling threat, the Mumbai Police were informed, and they have started the investigation. However, no formal complaint has been filed by Ranveer Singh or his team yet on the matter. Meanwhile, security arrangements outside the actor's house have been tightened.

Rohit Shetty's House Shooting Incident

Ranveer's incident comes days after the Mumbai police made arrests in the firing incident at filmmaker Rohit Shetty's Juhu residence, which was targeted with gunshots late on Saturday night. Following the incident, reports claimed that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had taken responsibility for the firing outside the filmmaker's house. The five accused reportedly have been detained in this case from Pune.

Ranveer is currently riding high on the success of his latest release Dhurandhar, which grossed Rs 1000 crore at the Indian box office and crossed over Rs 1300 crore globally.  Directed by Aditya Dhar, a sequel to the blockbuster movie is already in the works and is scheduled to hit the big screens on March 19.  

Dhurandhar: The Revenge will be released in Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. The movie features R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Arjun Rampal, and Ranveer Singh. The sequel is set to delve deep into the characters' backstories while blending emotional depth with intense action and drama.

Expectations are high for Dhurandhar 2 after the first part became a box office success following its release on December 5, which was later followed by a successful OTT release.
